Something Profound!

TO YOU
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me,
why should you not speak to me?
And why should I not speak to you?

Had to do it. If I didn't do it now, I could never afford to do it later. I traded in my deluxe 1985 Ford LTD Queen Victoria for a new automobile. When would I ever again be offered $4500.00 for this 10 miles per gallon fuel eating monster? Thank you President Obama!!

I know, I know, it's been awhile.  I don't mean to be such an infrequent visitor, but... You know how it is.

Got a chance to play with my bright red winter toy today.  That's my snow blower.  I was surprised it started up so easily.  I used the manual pull rope instead of the electric starter.  I did struggle with it through the first 3/4's of job.  Didn't realize the tires were flat!  I keep a portable air tank filled for such emergencies.  What a difference tires full of air make!  I would have been done with the job 1 hr. sooner.

Think I got a bigger problem though.  I set a mouse trap in the middle of my basement floor the other day.  It has now disappeared, and I certainly didn't move it.  I think maybe I need a bigger one.

I'm on new medication for my diabetes.  Having a little trouble determining the proper dosage, I think.  My sugar is either high when I test it in the morning, or I wake up about 2am in the mourning with it low.  I know it's low because with my eyes closed, I see bright white simi-circular blobs in the center, and when I open my eyes, the central part of my vision isn't there.  Kind of scary.  It's ok though, I drink a glass of grape juice, or eat a piece of fruit, and within 5 minutes everything is back to normal.

I guess they finally got rid of the old editor, damn it.  I don't like this new one at all.

Ok, now for a shameless plug.  Check out my eBay listings.  There is a link on the left that should take you to them. NOT THE ADULT ONE!!!  I don't sell that stuff now.  If the link does not work, my selling id is flip2u2.

Take care all....

OK,  I found the hard one to find.  Now, one more unexpected recipient has entered the equation.  I have to find something decent for an over 65 female senior; after all, she's invited me over for dinner.  She has enough of the normal things like wine, candy, and bath products. I have to find something gaudy and tasteless; her house is filled with such things.  Things like lamps with fringed lampshades, oil drip fountains with statues, you know, tacky stuff.  I don't even know where to get something like that.

Why is there always one gift someone wants, that they say you can get anywhere, so hard to find?

Ok, I know, I know, its been a long time.....been busy trying to sell vintage jewelry on eBay.  Got to make money somehow in order to buy Christmas gifts!

Some words of advise:  Do not, I repeat, do not clean your kitchen the day before you decide to cook up a BIG batch of chili.  And another thing, don't believe what it says on the back of a two pound bag of dried kidney beans about cooking time.  "1 to 1 1/2hrs." or "until tender."  Try 8 HOURS and still not as tender as I would have liked.

Ok, I've ranted and raved enough for the month.

Take care all.......
